Overview: Work with the current Manager of Enterprise Business Systems, other IT personnel, and stakeholders to develop IBM iSeries based technical solutions to business issues. Additionally, collaborate within IT to develop and execute a leadership transition plan and succession roadmap with measurable milestones, during which the candidate will shadow the incumbent manger, learn from other IT resources, document existing institutional knowledge, and gradually assume technical and managerial responsibilities of increasing importance and impact to ensure effective knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
Organizational Impact: Will work across the organization to interface with users and determine needs related to iSeries platforms. Works within IT to develop code, maintain code repositories, and test software to ensure functionality and update program(s) to include security measures, data capacity, and quality deployments. Will be involved in relevant software build or buy decisions.
During the transition period, technical assignments include the design, creation, modification /configuration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and documentation of high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards, technical designs, and that meets user needs following the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Additional duties will include project management, team leadership, and other rotating functional and administrative assignments.

Knowledge & Experience:
University degree preferred. However, equivalent relevant experience such as 7 years of prior IBM iSeries development, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment will be accepted.
Experience in mentoring teams and leading projects of significant technical complexity. PMP certification is helpful.
Expertise in integrating iSeries data and applications with other platforms, such as warehouse management systems and data warehouse platforms.
