As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector – Workforce Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Job responsibilities
- Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Produces and maintains architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Review Oracle release notes quarterly and conduct impact analysis.
- Design, optimize, and deliver solutions using the SaaS Oracle Human Capital Management application.
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Ensure security and release processes are followed to reduce risk.
- Meet design deliverables and execution deadlines with consistent follow-through and independent work.
- Leads functional testing of enhancements to minimize defects, quickly problem-solve, and identify root causes.
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Strong experience configuring one or more modules of Oracle HCM Cloud
- Provide clear and concise communication and respond in a timely manner
- Quickly problem-solve and identify root causes
- Leadership experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Oracle HCM Cloud Certified implementation Professional in one or more modules
- Experience with Oracle OTBI, APIs and HDL/HSDL
- Experience with Oracle Visual Builder Studio
- Experience with ServiceNow
