As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the COMMERCIAL & INVESTMENT BANK, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

 Job responsibilities

  • Lead back office Mainframe technology platform within the Investment Bank division at JPMC, emphasizing listed financial products.
  • Develop and deploy Mainframe systems that seamlessly integrates with existing systems, provides comprehensive lifecycle management to JPMC operations and clients, supports diverse business lines, and is equipped to handle the rapid expansion of the business.
  • Collaborate with Operations in their current BAU (Business As Usual) work to implement best-of-breed practices and help them with their existing Business as Usual enhancements and production support  while the strategic platform is being built
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on post-trade concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Strong functional background in post-trade (Books & Records, Settlements, Trade processing, Statements & Confirms, Payments, Affirmations)
  • Experience working in a leading financial service organization with an understanding of the business functions such as PRIME, Institutional and Retail.
  • Mainframe technology skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Proven track record in leading a team in the design, development, and implementation of critical systems at a major financial institution in the U.S.
