As a Lead Software Test Engineer, you work with Tech Managers, Developers, Product owners and cross-functional global teams in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to understand features and technical implementation. You should have strong automation skills,  identify use cases, create test cases, execute test cases and generate reports in order to report to stakeholders on the quality and reliability of multiple applications across-platform and different verticals at SVB delivering high quality products for our clients working independently under minimal guidance. As a Test Engineer II at SVB, you are not a pure black box tester; you must be able to understand software internals, debug problems, and automate repetitive tasks with scripting tools and user-level automation tools.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall quality of IT projects and changes through execution of all aspects of the Software Development and Testing Life Cycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as the person will work very closely with diverse teams
• Adhere to Enterprise Agile Delivery Methodology
• Monitor and execute test activities for small to medium size projects
• Work closely with development and product team to ensure timely collaboration and resolution
• Review and understand project or application requirements, conduct ambiguity review
• Prepare robust test cases, log defects and produce status reports
• Should have banking knowledge experience.
• Have hands on experience in Test case automation using Selenium with cucumber framework.
• Should have work experience in Behavior driven development.
• Need to have good Java script knowledge which will be used for Automation.
• Handling technical  communications, Status reporting, Defect triage
• Should have knowledge on SQL scripts and Data testing.
• Utilize JIRA as the defect tracking system and report issues promptly and accurately
• Participate in defect/issue triage sessions, follow defects through closure
• Ensure reproducibility, auditability and traceability of deliverables
• Assist in building and configuring test environments
• Monitor environmental impacts, communicate potential risks, provide mitigation plans
• Map test cases to the requirements, provide requirement traceability metrics (RTM)
• Develop expert knowledge of the software in test and any other impacted applications or flows related to the change to ensure accurate test design and execution
• Provide testing support and conduct working troubleshooting sessions with development partners for timely resolution
• You will also be responsible for producing written reports with recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective strategies to assess and mitigate risks in Quality Assurance
• Taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
