In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Technology oriented B.E/B Tech Degree or equivalent advanced degree
  • Overall IT experience of 5+ years
  • Primary Skills: Abinitio, Unix Shell scripting, Oracle, Cloud Technologies
  • Secondary Skills: Talend, Apache Spark, Hadoop technologies, Data Lakes, NoSQL databases
  • Serves as a technical consultant to internal clients and technical management to ensure conformity with Enterprise Architecture, having expertise across a broad portion of the organizational unit's architecture, or in-depth expertise within a more specific portion of the architecture.
  • Analytic and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive and can work independently


Job Expectations:

  • Scalability and reuse of the application in development
  • Responsible for design, prototyping and delivery of software solutions within the ETL platform using Ab Initio and Big data ETL solutions.
  • Review and sign-off the Test Coverage and Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  • Execute test cases and report test results, raise defects in defect tracking tool
  • Familiar with Autosys scheduling, control center, and concept of publish/subscribe data from Ab Initio queue and/or Kafka topics.
  • Should have experience with SQL database programming, SQL performance tuning, relational model analysis.
  • Good understanding on Abinitio features like Workload management, Workflow management, Continuous Flows, EME and Express>IT
  • Good experience in developing UNIX scripts, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL.
  • Extensive knowledge on Data warehousing concepts.
  • A good team player who can collaborate and work closely with multiple functional groups.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under stringent timelines within a strong, high energy team environment.
  • Ability to work in Agile environment
  • Must have the ability to relate to both business and technical members of the team and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Should be able to provide oversight and technical guidance for developers on Ab Initio.
  • Candidates must have outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a good grasp of the technical side of business intelligence.
  • Working knowledge of relational data structures / models / relationships
  • Responsible for performance tuning and scalability improvements of distributed applications
  • Researching and evaluation of new tools and technologies to solve business problems
  • Responsible for development of advanced analytics solutions and integrating new tools to improve server capacity, SLAs, process automation
  • Translates business concepts to technical implementations to drive alignment and decision making
  • Works on a geographically dispersed team embracing Agile strategies for themselves and others while driving adoption to enable greater technology and business value
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Should be detail oriented, able to multitask
  • Demonstrated ability to learn the business quickly.
