Lead Software Engineer

AMERICAN SYTEMS is seeking a lead software engineer with exceptional communication and management skills to drive development and integration initiatives across the enterprise.  

As a Lead Software Engineer you will:

• Lead development efforts across a wide variety of tasks for AMERICAN SYSTEMS

A week in the life of a Lead Software Engineer: 

• Lead architectural meetings and code reviews to ensure alignment with best practices and strategic objectives. 
• Engage in hands on development work with a small team of developers to deliver solutions for the enterprise 
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and technical expertise to foster growth and quality work. 
• Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies, trends, and tools. 
• Build and maintain cloud native solutions within Microsoft Azure 
• Experiment and evaluate new technologies to integrate innovative solutions, enhancing the organization's offerings and capabilities 

• Bachelors Degree
• Ability to obtain a Clearance (US Citizenship)
• Previous management/leadership experience 
• Full stack software development for web applications 
• C#/Python/Node/HTML/JavaScript preferred 
• Unit and integration testing 
• Experience with design, development, and integration of internal and 3rd party APIs  
• Strong relational database skills 

At least 10 years of technical experience in:

• Supporting IT Operations 

At least 3 years of experience in:

• Operating in a cloud environment (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.  The salary range for this position is $130,000K - $170,000K. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.  AMERICAN SYSTEMS provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits, paid leave, retirement plans (including ESOP and 401k), insurance programs, and education and training assistance.
