Core Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for designing the technical solution of the experience and build the best-in-class solutions in close collaboration with Product- and Design Leads.

  • Collaborate across product teams in the BrickLink value stream.

  • Develop, operate & maintain robust and scalable solutions - striking the right balance between feature set, security, quality, and deadlines, applying a “you build it – you run it” philosophy.

  • Continuously improve the health of the team's codebase and systems, from dev to live, ensuring the current state is visible outside the team.

  • Ensure world-class quality and be a steward of the LEGO values that consumers expect from our brand.

  • Bring your curiosity to explore new technologies that can help us improve and move our solutions.

  • The position is primarily focused on engineering the backend part of our experiences, but if you prefer to work full stack there is also room and opportunities for you.

  • Actively participate and contribute to cross organizational initiatives, sharing knowledge and building communities.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to the team's continuous improvement.

In Creator and AFOL Technology we are assisting LEGO BrickLink® getting integrated into the LEGO Groups digital ecosystem to support an ambitious growth journey.

In this role you will work on modernizing the BrickLink technology platform and implement new features together with your team.

We are looking for a profile primarily focused on backend and cloud engineering with C#, however, there will be opportunities to work full stack if skills and interests allow for it.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Extensive experience from a related IT position as full stack, backend, or web engineer.

  • Experienced in the C# language on the .Net framework.

  • Understanding of security aspects of web based solutions.

  • Experience building REST services/APIs.

  • Understanding Domain Driven Design and loosely coupled systems.

  • Proven ability in leading an end-to-end feature development team through modern agile methodologies.

  • Experience with databases, both relational and NoSQL.

  • Working knowledge of the AWS Cloud platform or Microsoft Azure.

  • A great collaborator with effective communication skills.

Nice to have

  • You are not foreign to concepts like continuous delivery, DevOps, serverless architecture and domain driven design.

  • Knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript/Typescript.

  • Experience with Cloud native development and Managed Cloud infrastructure (e.g. DNS, CDN, Load balancing etc.).

  • Working with infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform or the likes).
