Job Description
HMD Trucking Inc. is looking for a highly-motivated Lead Software Developer who wants to contribute to a successful team that embraces innovation and be part of an industry-leading organization that consistently sets new standards.
Experience and desired skills
- Proficient in spoken and written ENGLISH (must)
- Java + Spring
- Python + Related Frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
- PHP/Laravel (nice to have but not required)
- PostgreSQL
- Experience using and building Rest APIs
- Experience with AWS S3
- Knowledge of a frontend framework (Vue or Angular)
- Experience building mobile apps a plus (using Flutter in particular)
- Experience using JIRA and working in an agile software environment
- 5+ years building full-stack web applications
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading a team of developers in order to develop web based applications
- Ability to work with multiple projects and troubleshoot issues and suggest updates
- Working with management to determine how to build projects to meet the business's needs
- Collaborating with other employees to ensure UX/UI is correctly implemented in the production environment
- Translating designs into functional web templates and prototypes
- Taking ownership of projects and team responsibilities
- Maintaining organizational websites and optimizing performance levels
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high standards for software development
