Position Overview:
Edgesource is seeking a highly motivated Lead Software Architect to join our experienced technical team. The person in this role will be responsible for leading software development projects, ensuring that the project vision is understood and properly executed by the team. This position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance with all duties to be performed onsite at the Sponsor facility in the Tyson's, VA area.

Job Duties:

  • Lead Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs), documenting and recording every aspect of an application or software, to ensure a clear understanding of system functionalities for future maintenance work
  • Responsible for training and overseeing the activities of the onsite development team members to ensure that best practices are being followed
  • Planning and tracking software deliverables
  • Serve as the go-to expert for locating and directing solutions for critical challenges involving software and hardware interfaces
  • Identify and resolve issues within software systems
  • Regularly engage with clients, stakeholders, & fellow team members, fostering a collaborative environment that is conducive to delivering high-quality products
  • Analyze stakeholder requirements and translate them into technical solutions


Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
  • 10+ years of related work experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 14+ years of related work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experienced in data governance, data access, control and sharing policy across multiple domains and fabrics, and meeting the security requirements for accreditations
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, ensuring that the foundation of the designed systems are robust and scalable
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages to ensure informed decisions about the appropriate technology stack are being used for projects
  • Experienced with Agile Methodology and Agile
  • Experience in a lead architecture role
  • Experienced with Client Communication
  • Experienced with Data Governance   


Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Project management experience
