What Our Client Needs:

Our client is seeking a Lead Software Architect to direct the design and development of the software architecture underlying their suite of products. This role will focus on evolving the current architecture to support planned product growth and position the company for future success. The Lead Software Architect will work collaboratively across departments to ensure the architecture supports both functional and non-functional requirements, while driving innovation and simplicity.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the development of a strategic product-line software architecture to enable the creation of additional complementary products.
  • Collaborate in the creation of a roadmap for evolving the existing architecture to support the company’s growth.
  • Ensure the architecture meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Communicate the architecture effectively to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise using clear verbal explanations and supporting artifacts.
  • Develop architectural solutions that prioritize frugality and simplicity.
  • Spend at least 50% of your time in hands-on development.


What You’ll Need:

  • Experience leading software architecture responsibilities in complex environments for enterprise-class products.
  • Extensive experience with C#/.Net (Framework, Core), web-based front-end architectures, API architectures, and Azure.
  • Expertise in modern patterns and approaches to software architecture.
  • Experience applying lean/agile principles pragmatically.
  • Knowledge of legacy modernization patterns and practices.
  • An aversion to over-architecting and unnecessary complexity.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and multiple teams (on-shore and off-shore) and lead by influence.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience in the development of HRTech products a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS a plus.


This is a fully remote role but we are looking for someone within commuting distance to Exton, PA for an occasional on-site meeting (potentially once per quarter).
