Why are we hiring a Lead Developer? We’re looking for a Lead Development Engineer to guide a development team as our company develops new cloud solutions to migrate away from desktop applications.

What to expect?

• Lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. 

• Guide your team in translating complex requirements into sound technical designs. 

• Champion and help define technical standards, architectural patterns, and design practices. 

• Provide effective mentorship and coaching to engineers at all levels, supporting their technical and professional growth. 

• Support architectural alignment within your function and contribute to cross-team technical discussions. 

• Facilitate effective agile ceremonies and collaborative working practices within your team by modelling pro-social, professional, and collaborative behaviour. 

• Participate in code reviews, ensuring a high standard of quality, consistency, and performance. 

• Proactively address and escalate technical risks, blockers, and opportunities for improvement. 

• Build effective relationships with stakeholders across Product, Design, and Engineering. 

• Stay current with industry trends and drive adoption of relevant technologies. 

• Adhere to the company’s Quality and Information Security Management systems to ensure that all work is handled securely, professionally, and diligently.

Skills you’ll need: 

• Angular (V14+) 

• .NET (V6+, including Entity Framework) 

• Database architecture (Oracle, SQL, Postgres, NoSQL) 

• CI/CD pipelines. 

• REST API design. 

• Design principles covering micro services and cloud architecture. 

• Significant experience in software development with a proven track record of technical leadership. 

• Strong design and architectural skills, with experience shaping systems and guiding delivery. 

• Extensive experience working within agile development, iterative delivery, and cross-functional teams. 

• Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor others and support the growth of a development team. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and positively influence technical direction. 

• Knowledge of our Quality Management System and its application to the tasks associated with this role.
