Position Summary:

The D365 Lead Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting solutions within the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations platform. This role requires a deep understanding of the D365 F&O architecture, development tools, and integration capabilities. The D365 F&O Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that enhance and optimize our business processes.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, and customize solutions within the D365 F&O platform to meet business requirements.
  • Create, modify, and maintain D365 F&O entities, forms, workflows, and reports.
  • Develop and implement extensions using X++ and other relevant technologies.
  • Integrate D365 F&O with other systems and third-party applications using Azure Logic Apps, Data Entities, OData, and RESTful APIs.
  • Develop and maintain data migration scripts and integration points to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve the efficiency and scalability of the D365 F&O environment.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in coding, security, and performance.
  • Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for D365 F&O issues, including performance issues, bug fixes, and user support.
  • Document technical designs, development processes, and customizations in detail.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to other developers and IT team members.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing and implementing solutions within Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Strong proficiency in X++, SQL, and related development tools.
  • Experience with D365 F&O integration frameworks, including Azure services, OData, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with the full D365 F&O implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Developer Associate.
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for D365 F&O.
