Appian L2+ Lead Developer

We are expanding our Appian Development team. We are looking for an Appian certified (L2 - Certified Appian Developer or above) developer to be part of an established digital team.

Job Title: Appian Lead Developer

Location: Amsterdam (with appropriate VISA / work permit). Preference given to individuals who are already based and working in The Netherlands

As a NextWave-Infinium Appian Lead Developer, you will analyse, design and implement data, workflow and case management needs in an agile fashion. Working with top tier-banking clients, you will work on the bank's transformation programme, taking responsibility for developing, maintaining and supporting a variety of bespoke applications.

What you’ll be doing?

• Design and implementation of Appian low-code solutions, and organisation models to meet client digital platform needs
• Working with our clients to understand their business challenges and define the associated digital platform solutions - undertaking requirements gathering, client interviewing, documentation of processes and process assessment, and effectively communicating these to various audiences
• Where appropriate leading workshops and training for client and internal education, communication and mobilisation
• Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

What we’re looking for

• Deep hands-on Appian development experience
• Proven experience in a range of critical process improvement disciplines, including business process management, knowledge management, personalisation, business intelligence, and application integration
• Varied skill set and experience to construct, implement, and deploy process-centric business process management solutions based on Appian software, through design, configuration and deployment of our enterprise low-code platform
• Implement quality assurance plans, system and load testing and roll-out plans
• Previous people management experience

Experience and Skills

• 3-4 years in enterprise application development and integration including providing architectural solutions design development support and maintenance using Appian
• Knowledge of Appian architecture and its objects best practices
• Good understanding of database concepts and strong working knowledge any one of the major databases e.g. Oracle SQL Server, MySQL
• Experience of integrations using web services e.g. XML, REST, WSDL, SOAP, API, JDBC, JMS
• Familiar with Appian plug ins including rules engines
• Understand products pitfalls and ability to determine the products best fit and most efficient use
• Experience developing Appian smart services and plugins
• Hands-on Appian SAIL development
• Understanding of the latest Appian functionality (ideally having used it in a business environment)

Requirements

Location

You will be based in the NextWave-Infinium Amsterdam office or remotely, however, travel may be required abroad for client-based projects and some projects will be located fully at client office locations - usually in Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam or Utrecht.

We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully; there may be some opportunity for working from home depending on client and project demands.
