As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Identity & Access Management team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for enterprise scale applications
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems in one or more technical disciplines
- Ability to architect & develop & present engineering solutions within and across products & technology teams with little to no oversight
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s), specifically Java Full stack
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in Kubernetes (Containerization and orchestration)
- Experience working with terraform or similar declarative Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in Infrastructure Architecture designs
- Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Knowledge of Multiple Cloud Platforms
- Knowledge in Event Driven Architectures
