Our client is a fast-growing company seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will work closely with Stakeholders and Lead the Engineering team to support and enhance a cutting-edge headless CMS, high-performance hosting platform, and programmatic ads system. About the Role
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in leading large projects, including system design and implementation. You will manage multiple concurrent projects, design complex systems, and lead productive meetings with internal stakeholders. Your role will ensure that business and engineering teams are aligned, and you will inspire and motivate other engineers to do their best work while understanding the business context of your projects.
Responsibilities
Lead headless CMS migrations, including frontend development in React and backend Node and PHP WordPress configurations.
Optimize hosting environments and CDN solutions like Fastly.
Troubleshoot and provide customer support to help clients maintain platform stability.
Develop and ship new product features to enhance performance and functionality.
Collaborate across time zones, ensuring clear project ownership and smooth handoffs.
Provide insights on team structure and tools, shaping the engineering team's future.
Requirements
10+ years of practical experience in software engineering with a strong web development background.
Experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams.
Proficiency in React-Node stack, WordPress, AWS, and Fastly (or similar CDN solutions).
Experience with high-traffic media sites or large-scale web applications.
Ability to work independently while staying deeply connected with the team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially across time zones.
Strong written and verbal English communication.
Proven track record in managing multiple projects concurrently.
Familiarity with programmatic advertising systems.
