About the Role

We continue to expand our highly talented Infrastructure teams, and are seeking an experienced software development and operations practitioner to contribute to design, management, and maintenance of foundational Azure cloud resources. Our goal is to provide stable, secure, and cost-effective solutions in support of our engineering (R&D) teams, and offer guidance and guardrails to developers as they build services in the cloud.

You will act as a subject-matter expert on core Azure concepts such as tenant and subscription management, IAM, networking, DNS, compute, security, and observability. This role also requires some familiarity with AWS and principles of cross-cloud/multi-cloud integration. You’ll be able to explain these technologies and terminology confidently to development teams and leadership, advise on trade-offs, and implement solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery/deployment (CD) systems.

Core technologies and concepts

  • Azure design, management, and operations for foundational constructs (tenants, management groups, subscriptions, resource groups)

  • Fundamental Azure services and concepts: identity, virtual networking, compute, storage

  • Strong experience with AWS fundamentals (IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, EC2)

  • Support a continued, ongoing multi-cloud presence

  • Development of supporting services and tools using Python and Golang

  • Infrastructure management using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Atlantis

  • Source control (Git using GitHub)

  • Linux (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)

  • Windows administration and fleet management: Entra ID, Active Directory, Entra Domain Services

How you do things

  • Excited to use your expertise and be prescriptive about the right way forward

  • Work well alongside infrastructure and product teams

  • Work independently and know when to reach out for support

  • Communicate effectively with different audiences: developers, security practitioners, leadership

  • Passionate about automation - we do everything-as-code

Additional skills and technologies

Experience in the following areas or with the respective technologies will also be assets:

  • Cloud governance patterns

  • Container orchestration with Kubernetes

  • Build tooling (Bazel)

Previous security experience is preferred but not required. We provide all the cybersecurity training you need during onboarding and on-the-job training.
