Job Description

As a Lead Developer, you will drive the design and delivery of software solutions that power healthcare systems, blending backend PHP expertise with cutting-edge front-end development. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead projects that shape the digital transformation of patient care.

• Design, code, and maintain core PHP applications for healthcare systems
  
• Enhance UI using Vue.js and other JavaScript frameworks
  
• Maintain and upgrade existing PHP-based systems to meet NHS standards
  
• Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices
  
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders for feature implementation
  
• Optimize code performance, security, and scalability
  
• Design and implement system integration solutions
  
• Create comprehensive documentation for all systems and updates
  
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing
  
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards for data security
  
• Solve complex technical issues and contribute to continuous system improvement
  
• Develop and maintain robust databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server)
  
• Communicate effectively and clearly with teams and clients
  
• Take initiative in troubleshooting and conflict resolution
  

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

• Minimum of 5 years in PHP-based software engineering
  
• At least 4 years working on large-scale PHP projects with system integration
  
• Strong experience in:
  

• PHP (v8.3 onwards)
  
• SQL (preferably PostgreSQL)
  
• Vue.js and JavaScript
  

• Proven experience working in agile environments
  
• Experience developing healthcare systems is a strong advantage
  
• Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
  
• Resilient, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
  
• Confident in managing people and projects
  
• A team player with integrity, empathy, and professionalism
  
• Familiarity with patient confidentiality and data protection
  
• Skilled in documentation and troubleshooting complex technical issues
  
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving work requirements
