We are looking to hire a talented, hands-on lead full stack developer who is interested in working on Green Street’s web platform.  You will be working on an Agile team dedicated to building and improving this modern web platform that meshes together best-in-class research, news, and data into a customizable UI.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead a squad of 4-5 team members in the architecture and development of web technology solutions supporting one or more lines of business at Green Street.  
  • Own the collaboration between the technology team and stakeholders to facilitate development of new modules and applications for Green Street’s SaaS platform.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to determine and communicate priorities between initiative related work, technical debt burndown, and maintenance.   
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Green Street's business domains to facilitate technical decision making with the team.  
  • Deliver end-to-end solutions, from product inception to launch.  
  • Lead architectural discussions and play a key role in architectural reviews and governance.  
  • Drive a strong engineering culture of innovation, thought leadership and continuous improvement through intentional cross-functional collaboration.  
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to mid-level and junior team members as needed.  
Requirements

 

  • 10-15 years of professional full-stack experience in an agile team environment with strong focus on JavaScript 
  • Strong technical architecture experience in building enterprise-class web platforms 
  • Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js or React) and SPA architecture 
  • Strong experience with code quality tools for unit testing, static analysis, and performance testing 
  • Extensive experience with REST/GraphQL API development and architecture 
  • Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD practices 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience 
  • Excellence in technical leadership, problem-solving, and communication 
  • Proven track record of architectural decision-making and system design 
  • Deep understanding of web technologies, scalability, and best practices 

Nice-to-Haves 

  • Experience with Nest.js for building enterprise-scale backend applications 
  • Strong TypeScript expertise 
  • Experience architecting microservices using Nest.js 
  • Experience leading technical architecture decisions around Node.js backends 
  • Experience leading SCRUM teams 
  • Experience with PHP/Laravel 
  • Experience with Python 
  • Experience building map-centric applications (Google Maps, Mapbox) 
  • Experience creating data visualizations (Highcharts, D3.js, SVG) 
  • Proficiency with Linux/Docker environments 
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Puppeteer 
  • Experience with state management solutions (Vuex, Redux) 
  • AWS and DevOps expertise 
  • Experience architecting microservice solutions 

The current offer: 

  • Hybrid working model - 2 days per week - home office, 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our office at Polygraphia Office Center, Sofia, Bulgaria
  • Working hours – 11 am – 8 pm EEST ( 3 days/week for the first 6-12 months) – you need to work with our West Coast US tech team. 9 am - 6 pm (2 days/week)
