As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Trust & Safety Payments Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Job responsibilities
- Writes advanced level code in Java to build cutting edge high through put low latency engineering solutions
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience building low latency, high throughput server side Java based software solutions.
- Advanced in Java and related programming languages
- Experience with developing highly scalable, secure, and resilient applications utilizing Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate, Kubernetes, Docker, Swagger, and Skaffold
- Excellent understanding of security standards, such as OAuth, TLS, JWT, Kerberos etc.
- Good understanding of Domain Driven Design, microservices patterns, and modern/emerging architectures
- Expertise with AWS services, such as S3, EKS, EC2, EMR Spark, AWS Glue, SageMaker, SQS, Lambda, Cloud Formation, and Terraform
- Exposure to NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra
- Experience in Agile software development
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proficiency with AIML Model development Familiarity with log/metric collection and monitoring technologies, such as ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, & Splunk
- Knowledge of API management
- Experience with even driven processing utilizing Kafka
