Calypso Lead Developer

We are a custom software development company with over 19 years in the market, partnering with major clients across the U.S., Europe, and Canada. We're hiring a Calypso Lead Developer to join our remote global team.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.

• Design, develop, and extend custom Calypso solutions.

• Document technical work in Confluence; deliver demos and knowledge transfer sessions.

• Ensure alignment of Calypso functionality with business needs.

• Work with QA teams to ensure thorough test coverage.

• Develop unit tests and regression tests for new features.

• Review peer code and support UiPath automated testing when applicable.

• Mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions.

General Requirements

• 10+ years of development experience, with 3+ years as a technical lead.

• Experience mentoring developers and working directly with business users.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and Git/Bitbucket.

• Solid understanding of Windows & UNIX environments and security best practices.

• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile/SAFe methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Calypso-Specific Experience

• Hands-on with Calypso v16+, ideally v17 or v18.

• Experience with Calypso upgrades in on-premise (non-SaaS) environments.

• Skilled in customizing Calypso and using its APIs.

• Familiarity with areas like:

  • Bonds, Swaps, Money Market

  • Workflows & SDIs, Accounting, Task Station

  • Corporate Actions, Scheduled Tasks, ERS

  • Reporting, Static & Reference Data

Finance Knowledge

• Deep understanding of Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equities, LCs, Advances.

• Knowledge of lifecycle events and Derivatives Clearing processes.

• Familiarity with MBS (Mortgage-Backed Securities) structures.
